Jim is a musician, radio host, producer and creative collaborator from Dundalk, Ireland, currently based in London.

Having studied Fine Art (Painting) at the Limerick School of Art & Design, he moved to the UK to pursue music & art.

As composer and sound designer, he has created short film scores and made musical compositions for clients such as Tate, Christies and Aer Lingus.

Jim is an Associate Member of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland.

Working as a producer, editor and sound designer, he has recently co-created the NCL Podcast on Spotify.

Jim also hosts and produces the shows 'Spinning Away' on RTÉ 2XM and 'Dusk Moves' on Boogaloo Radio.

He has interviewed Self Esteem, Shaun Ryder, Thurston Moore, Bernard Butler, Suggs, producers John Leckie, Mike Chapman & many more.

Under the musical moniker 'Video Blue', he has self-recorded and produced 3 albums and numerous singles.

As a live act, Video Blue has toured throughout the UK & Ireland, including appearances at Electric Picnic, Castlepalooza & Standon Calling. He has played with acts such as Razorlight, Pillow Queens & Sinead O'Brien.

Video Blue's music has been played on RTÉ 2fm, BBC 6music, X Radio, Sirius and beyond. 

In furthering the self-taught production skills, he has recently moved into remixing and reworking music by others, such as whenyoung, Attawalpa, Sounds of System Breakdown & Giant Party.

An avid record collector and regular DJ in many London venues, Jim also has great experience in event production and venue management.

He was manager and booker for east London's much loved Record shop/Live music venue, Lion Coffee + Records.
